Sensor Networks
offer
the possibility to set up very close-meshed networks that
consist of different sensor, repeater or actuator modules
easily. Every sensor module makes the transmission of measured
values possible, e. g. from spaceious areas that are otherwise
difficult of access or from explosion-proof areas, in which a
cabling or manual acquisition is only possible in a difficult
and complicated way. The modules form an ad-hoc network (spontaneous,
independent building of networks) with repeater functionality
and transfer the acquired measured data to the base module.
This saves the received data and makes it available to a
data terminal or to the LAN. Additionally, all modules of the
network can be parameterised via the base module (min/max
values, sampling intervals, repeater functionality). All
measurement data can be viewed, stored and analyzed by means
of the PC software alpha® data control
center or alpha® data view.
