Easy
to use and efficient
The radio controller WZ DFC 3 has been developed for fast and
uncomplicated operation of the radio modems WZ DFM 10/430S, WZ DFM
10/430B, WZ DFM 500/430S, WZ DFM 500/460S, WZ DFM 5/868 as well as the
radio units for voice and data transmission WZ FSE 2-2 und WZ FSE 70-2
via RS232 interface.
The controller is simply screwed onto the relevant radio modem and thus,
modem and controller are a firmly-linked, compact unit.
The data flow at the RS232 interface is controlled via RTS/CTS with
hardware handshake or Xon/Xoff with software handshake.
Errors can be disastrous if important data are transmitted. The
advantage of the AX.25 protocol and AT commands is that it ensures
secure data transmission. Various configurations, such as point to
point, network or repeater operation can be realised via transparent or
broadcast mode.
Point
to point communication permits transmission of all characters from 00 h
to FF h in transparent mode. In broadcast mode, operation with an
optional number of users is possible. All characters from 00 h to FF h
can be transmitted.
High transmission range in each mode
Repeater operation is possible in every mode in order to increase the
transmission range. Setting the mode as well as furthe parameterisation
(address, block length, response time) is realised via command mode at
the RS232 interface and will be saved.
Operation modes of the controller are clearly visible via the LEDs.
