DFM 10/430B is the logical extension of our existing radio
modem line. The integrated frequency synthesizer and signal
strength output make it perfect for flexible and fast solutions.
Opens up new markets in industrial applications
Small and light - the FMN radio modem WZ DFM 10/430B is
ideal for mobile and stationary use in radio data systems. Data
rates up to 76800 baud open up new market segments in industrial
applications.
High data rates and transmission range
GMSK modulation permits data rates up to 76800 baud with 50 kHz
channel spacing. In comparison with other modulation methods,
like FFSK, GMSK modulation offers a higher transmission range
and better transmission security.
Free of license and no registration fees
No registration fees need to be paid for the WZ DFM 10/430B.
It is license free and can be used without any permission in
Germany.
Interface with special functions
The WZ DFM 10/430B is controlled via TTL interface. The
interface offers some additional signals to optimise the
transmission characteristics.
In connection with WZ DFC, parameters of the modem can be set
via RS232 interface.
Frequency synthesizer and signal strength output
The WZ DFM 10/430B uses a frequency synthesizer and covers the
frequencies from 433.200 MHz to 434.600 MHz. Frequency switching
is controlled by software, plug-in jumpers or DIP switch (with
controller WZ DFC). This feature offers flexible and fast
solutions.
The signal strength output permits an indication of the signal
strength at each site. By using this signal, the optimal
installation site can easily be found as well as topographical
data like illumination and coverage can be gained. A combination
of both features (frequency synthesizer and signal strength
output) enables the user to build up cellular networks for
professional applications in the private mobile radio sector.
